Last night I was so happy I cried. We weren't prepared for the sudden announcement - I still thought it too soon and didn't want to get my hopes up. Then there was jumping, dancing, obscene phone calls left on friends' voicemails, a congratulatory call (reaching across the aisle) from my sister and mother, more tears of joy, glasses of champagne.
And awe. I was in awe. I am in awe.
It kind of feels like waking up after a bad dream and having that soothing, grounding feeling in your stomach when you know things are going to be okay.
Thank you to everyone who organized, activated, shook, rattled, rolled, and voted for change! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Mr. Obama, for your inspiration.
This is history.

I really couldn't agree more. The relief is almost overwhelming.
I think I got one of those calls....I'm so happy I could dance!
Ain't it grand. I have not felt this inspired by an election ever
I'm still kind of in shock. All of the Obama volunteers were in a bar watching the returns and the room went silent when McLame started his speech. I really thought they would try and steal a third election.
I am one happy/tired Bee today!
Yes We Did!!
Woohooooooooooo!!! Yippee for us all!
(I'll try to get to more regular posting soon...perhaps this weekend!)
Sorry for the late post! It was so amazing to watch that night Heidi. My favorite part by far was looking into the crowd of OBama's speech and seeing so many people of so many different backgrounds looking dreamy eyed. Tremendous night.
I know what you mean! It's been so wonderful to wake up each morning, and not worry about what our President might have done while I was sleeping.
I have missed you!!!!!!
